Efficient heating and cooling for high-volume metal-finishing operationsAsk about availability
Product Description
High-volume metal-finishing operations use Niche Supercoil Heat Exchangers for efficient heating and cooling. Fluoropolymer resins provide low surface adhesion, helping to resist scale build-up, while their chemical inertness provides excellent resistance to corrosion and fouling. Their high electrical resistance also helps minimise the effects of stray currents in electroplating tanks. Immersion heat exchangers manufactured from less suitable materials can result in higher maintenance requirements and reduced heating efficiency due to scale formation.
Supercoils are available in FEP and in Niche’s proprietary Q-Series tubing formulations. Q-Series coils are manufactured using a specialised fluoropolymer compound that improves thermal performance and increases temperature and pressure capability. Q-Series Supercoils are suitable for many metal-finishing applications, particularly electroless nickel and copper plating. Their higher heat-transfer rate allows the overall coil length to be reduced, making them suitable for installation in smaller finishing tanks.
Typical applications include electroplating, electroforming, electroless plating, acidic and alkaline etching, chemical milling, anodising, cleaning, stripping, electropolishing and similar metal-finishing processes.
