Sustainability and Environmental Policy

Megatech recognises that it has a responsibility to the environment beyond legal and regulatory requirements. Megatech recognise that businesses can have a negative impact on the environment and therefore are committed to finding ways in which we can reduce our impact of our work both in the office and when work takes us away from the office.​

Responsibility
Megatech, is responsible for ensuring that this environmental policy is implemented, however, all employees have a responsibility in their area to ensure that the aims and objectives of this policy are met.​

Policy aims
We endeavour to:
• Comply with all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Continually improve and monitor environmental performance.
• Continually improve and reduce environmental impacts.
• Increase employee awareness.
• Source products and consumables locally where possible.​

Paper
We will: Look to go paperless and recycle materials at every reasonable opportunity.​

Energy and water
We will seek to: Use sustainable energy where possible, including but not limited to; energy saving lighting, motion sensors, electric heating and timed heating systems. The company encourages employees to be energy efficient with usage of catering equipment. The company sets annual targets to reduce energy and water consumption.

Office supplies
We will: Continue to recycle office supplies and monitor current usage to avoid unnecessary environmental impact.​

Transportation
We will: Endeavour to only make journeys that are necessary and look to combined multiple visits where possible. Megatech will introduce electric company cars where practical to reduce carbon footprint.

Monitoring and improvement
We will:
• Comply with all relevant regulatory requirements.
• Continually improve and monitor environmental performance.
• Continually improve and reduce environmental impacts.
• Encourage an environmental conscious culture.

We will: Update this policy at least once annually in consultation with staff and other stakeholders where necessary.
